Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a toilet in the vehicle?

No, but after several years of testing, it’s not much of an issue. There will always be a McDonald’s to accommodate your needs on the road, and it saves you from having to clean the toilet and manage greywater.

All our vehicles are checked between each rental, and a mechanical inspection is performed with every oil change.

While we can’t prevent all breakdowns, we offer remote assistance to help you get back on the road as quickly as possible and minimize the impact on your trip. We offer affordable vehicles so you can put your travel budget where it counts!

The normal operating season is from May to October, depending on the weather. Winters in Eastern Canada can be harsh on the road!

No, but the vehicle is very well insulated, and the heat accumulated during the day allows you to sleep comfortably even with only 2 degrees Celsius outside. An extra blanket is also included. If needed, simply use the vehicle’s heater by starting the engine.

Some vehicles have an electric cooler; check the vehicle’s page. For others with classic coolers, ice in it easily lasts two days. This minimizes the mechanical space required in the vehicle and the construction cost (and thus the rental cost!).

No, unless specified for the vehicle. The camper components consume almost nothing, and the accessory battery charges fully on the road with the alternator between adventures.

No. The space is too restricted (in volume and height!) for these components. The vehicle is mainly for travel and sleeping; you’ll be outside most of the time! It’s very pleasant to cook and eat outdoors with the large pull-out kitchen. A fold-away sink and propane or butane stove are included.

The shoebill is an endangered bird from Africa that is quite solitary, travels calmly, and shies away from civilization. This fits perfectly with the vanlife theme!

The name is also a reference to the design; it’s entirely conceived to look like a commercial vehicle to blend in. You can easily park in more public places while staying incognito.

You can also use apps like iOverlander2 and Park4night to find places to park for the night and fill up on fresh water.

Yes. All necessary bedding for sleeping, cooking, and cleaning is provided with each rental.

All basic essentials are provided with each rental. This includes at least plates, bowls, a pot, a saucepan, utensils, containers for leftovers, cooking tools, a colander, etc., and a French press coffee maker!

A propane or butane burner (depending on the vehicle) is also provided for cooking.

If any items are missing or damaged during your trip, please let us know so we can correct the situation for future rentals.

In most cases, pickup and return are self-service.

You can therefore pick up your vehicle at your chosen time. For returns, it’s simply important to bring the vehicle back before nightfall to have enough light to take the required photos.

Please note that during busy periods, we might ask you to return the vehicle in the early afternoon to allow us to prepare it for the next rental.
